This page explains what happens to your data on cleartoship.de. In short: the site sets no cookies, tracks nothing and loads nothing from other services. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address to tell you about Clear to Ship, until you leave the list.

Who is responsible

Visiting the site

The site runs on a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany, which processes data on our behalf. To deliver the pages, the server receives your IP address and the usual details of a web request. It keeps no access logs. The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other services.

Joining the waitlist

When you enter your email address, we ask Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France) to send you an email with a confirmation link. Brevo processes data on our behalf under the data processing agreement that is part of its terms of service, and hosts it in France and Belgium. Some of Brevo's own service providers, such as Cloudflare, are in the USA; transfers there rest on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU's standard contractual clauses. Only after you confirm is your address on our waitlist. Brevo records when the confirmation was requested and when you confirmed, with the IP address of your confirmation click, so that we can prove your consent.

To keep the form from being misused, our server holds your IP address (for IPv6, its first half) for one hour and your email address for 24 hours, in memory only, to limit repeated requests. It writes neither to disk. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the form and other people's inboxes (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

The confirmation email, like every email Brevo sends for us, contains a small image and links that run through Brevo. They let Brevo record whether the email was opened and which link was clicked. We use this only to see whether our emails arrive.

We use your address only to tell you about Clear to Ship: when there is something to try, and about its development. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). If you never confirm, you are not on the list, and we will not write to you.

Leaving the list

You can withdraw your consent at any time, without giving reasons. The link in every email we send takes you off the list at once. To have your address deleted completely, write to toni@rebaze.de. Withdrawal does not affect what happened before it.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to it, and to receive it in a portable format (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for us the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen in Hannover.

Connection

All pages are served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
